Laura Fabris

Dr. Fabris earned a B.S./M.S. in Physical Chemistry (2001) and a Doctorate Degree in Chemical Sciences (2006) at the University of Padova, Italy. She then took a postdoctoral position in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she worked on the development of surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS)-based biosensors. In July 2009 she joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Rutgers University (USA), where she is currently an Associate Professor. Her core research focuses on the use of plasmonic nanoparticles for biomedical applications of SERS.
