Dr. Raymond Turner received his BSc in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in BioPhysical Chemistry from the University of Calgary in 1990. His post-doctoral training was obtained in molecular and microbial biochemistry at the University of Alberta in 1994, before becoming a research associate and laboratory manager between 1994 and 1997 in their department of Biochemistry. Dr. Turner made his way back to the University of Calgary in 1998 as an Assistant Professor and was appointed with tenure as a full Professor since in 2007. Raymond has published over 165 manuscripts and book chapters in leading peer-reviewed journals in topics such as molecular and environmental microbiology, biofilms, bioremediation, membrane protein biochemistry, and resistance mechanisms in bacteria.
