Dr. Wei Wang is a Research Science Specialist in Aramco Services Company and his current research focus is on applications of advanced nanomaterials and nanotechnology for reservoir characterization and enhanced oil recovery. He was a Staff Research Scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory since 2001, before joining the Aramco Research Center-Boston as a Founding Member in 2012. Prior to that, he worked as a Research Associate at the University of Pittsburgh and as an Associate Professor at the Ocean University of China. Wei holds his Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1993 and has authored or co-authored more than 120 research papers (H-index 39), 4 book chapters, and 12 US patents. He has also served as an editor or guest editor for scientific journals, and as a technical reviewer for more than 75 scientific journals and 5 funding agents.
