Ye Tao
Rowland Institute at Harvard, MA
Ye Tao Research in the Tao lab at the Rowland Institute at Harvard are driven by fundamental scientific questions and practical engineering challenges that require the development of new sensors and instruments. The work bridges the physical sciences with multi-scale engineering (0.1nm-10^4 km). The lab currently focuses on the design and fabrication of ultrasensitive force sensors, controllable nanoscale magnetic field sources, machining technology with sub-nm depth control, as well as comprehensive engineering solutions to climate change and the ongoing Sixth Mass Extinction on planet earth. Ye obtained his scientific training at ETH, MIT, Harvard, Bocconi University, KTH, and Concordia University.
